Ayrshire Cancer Support is desperately in need of volunteer drivers to run cancer patients to their hospital appointments.
In 2019 we made over 12,000 journeys, and with more people being diagnosed with cancer than ever before, this year we will need to make even more.
What does being a volunteer driver involve?
Fundamentally, Ayrshire Cancer Support volunteer drivers need to be sympathetic, good with people and have a car.
It is entirely up to you how much of your time you donate and when - every little bit will help.
We will cover all your fuel and car depreciation costs, so all you need to do is pick people up at their homes, run them to their hospital appointment and then run them home again.
This might not seem too much like hard work, but your time is crucial and can save lives.
