Free Cancer Patient Transport

Our volunteer-led transport service offers door-to-door transport to help you attend cancer treatments, cancer appointments or appointments at our centres. The service takes the worry out of travel.

We pick you up from home, get you to your hospital appointment, and bring you back safely — all at no cost.

Our volunteer drivers make over 1000 journeys every month, and offer not just transport, but kindness, support and understanding along the way.

Getting You There When It Matters Most
We know getting to hospital can be tough. For some patients, it means travelling to Glasgow daily for up to eight weeks. That’s why our service is reliable, friendly, and makes all the difference when you need it most.

  • What Do You Need to Know?

    Available Hours: Operates between 9am and 5:30pm, with flexibility depending on driver availability.


    Booking: To book, please get in via email or phone. Please book early to ensure availability.


    Cancellations: Let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel.


    Important Considerations: This service may not suit patients needing medical assistance, electric wheelchairs, or a companion throughout the appointment.


    Some patients may prefer to wear a mask in the car.

  • Who are our Volunteers?

    All of our drivers complete a comprehensive onboarding process, are trusted and reliable, and have undertaken an appropriate PVG check.


    They use their own cars to provide a safe and comfortable service.


    Volunteers are happy to chat and provide friendly support to ease any worries or uncertainty you may feel.
